One of the most important events of the academic year – the Inter-University Inauguration of the Academic Year 2024/2025 in the European City of Science Katowice 2024 – will take place on 27 September.
The celebrations will begin in Katowice’s market square at 3:00 pm with a performance by folklore ensembles and the traditional march of the rector’s processions, to be followed at 4:00 pm by the ceremony at Katowice’s NOSPR.

Folklore ensemble performances: Student Song and Dance Ensemble „Katowice” of the University of Silesia, the Song and Dance Ensemble „Silesians” of the University of Economics in Katowice, and the Academic Dance Ensemble of the Silesian University of Technology „Dąbrowiacy”
