Prestigious THE World University Rankings Recognises Excellence of the Medical University of Silesia

It is with great pride that we announce the remarkable distinction earned by the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, which has been recognised among 45 leading Polish universities honoured with THE World University Rankings Awards.

In the 2025 edition, the Medical University of Silesia secured a position in the 1201–1500 band, achieving an impressive 13th place nationally.
This notable accomplishment highlights the University’s unwavering dedication to educational excellence, impactful scientific research, and a strong international outlook.

As the most prestigious and globally respected university ranking, the Times Higher Education assessment underscores the exceptional standing and growing global visibility of our institution.

The award was proudly accepted on behalf of the University’s authorities by Mr. Marcin Chabior, Deputy Chancellor for Didactic and IT Affairs, during the distinguished Digital Transformation Leaders Gala – PCG Academia 2025, which took place in Kraków on 25 November 2025 as part of the LUMEN – Leaders in University Management conference.
